LORD TURNER KEEPS HEAT ON BANKERS WITH FURTHER ATTACK
… Scream the headlines of Wednesday morning’s papers, on the FSA chairman’s Tuesday night speech at Mansion House.
Unfortunately, given the newspaper practice of pre-writing news (in order to make their print deadlines, reporters are often given a copy of the speech before an event even starts) the broadsheets can have a tendency to miss the small scandals and bits of `colour’ which can really make an event.
And what they missed on Tuesday evening was the below exchange, between Lord Turner and an as-of-yet unidentified mystery man.
Here’s the gist of what happened:

For the record, the FSA’s paid bonuses of £19.7m in 2008 — or about 15 per cent of its staff costs.
