Goldman Sachs is reviewing its London operations in a move which could see entire departments moving out of the UK to avoid higher taxes, reports the Daily Telegraph. The report, citing unnamed sources, said the bank was considering its options in light of Britain’s plans for a new tax on bankers’ bonuses, a new income tax rate and tougher banking rules. Goldman has asked an internal team to examine various strategies. The review is in preliminary stages, however, and could also recommend no changes at all.
