“Google Docks”, or, how to generically and pompously write the Schmidt story

Lede: The regency is over. The young princes are all growns up. Marie de’ Medici Schmidt departs.

2nd par: Back in 200X Eric Schmidt was Google’s top search result. But worries that he has hindered the growth of a more diversified, nimble firm have increased. [Insert top line results.]

3rd par: Why he was hired. Further Bourbon metaphor to display worldliness and erudition. The good days, IPO, yay.

4th par: But bad things happened, Facebook [or whatever], Groupon raspberry.

Payoff: The search continues.

Alternative  payoff for those not into the brevity thing: Whatever the case, Google has decided it is time to turn the page. [When you don't know what you're talking about, always best to make like The Economist and leave it open-ended.]

Byline: Aristocratic, > 2 names, preferably with a number at the end.

John McDermott and Cardiff Garcia had nothing to do with this.
