ZURICH – Alain Delelis, Credit Suisse’s global head of spot foreign exchange and proprietary trading, has been sacked from his role at the bank. Market sources in London and New York confirmed the news this afternoon, as speculation mounts over the conditions surrounding his departure.

According to the publication, Delelis joined Credit Suisse in 2007 before taking on his most recent role in April 2009. Before that he worked at Bank of America as head of FX trading for EMEA.

Alain Delelis could not be reached by FT Alphaville for comment.

A Credit Suisse spokesman told us “we don’t comment on rumour and speculation”.
