JC Flowers adds firepower in UK

JC Flowers, the US private equity group run by dealmaker Chris Flowers, has strengthened its London team after appointing Sir Callum McCarthy, former chairman of the UK’s FSA watchdog body, as European chairman. The US buy-out group has also named David Morgan, former CEO of Australia’s Westpac bank, as managing director of Europe and Asia Pacific. Morgan on Tuesday said he had stood down from the board of Anglo-Australian miner BHP Billiton to focus on JC Flowers, where he already chairs its Australia operations.
