BC Partners, the UK-based buy-out group, is set to announce its entry to the fast-expanding US education market through the acquisition of ATI Enterprises, a Dallas-based operator of 24 college campuses, for about $500m. ATI is owned by a Riverside-led private equity consortium, which acquired it five years ago. The deal, which is set to close at year-end, is being financed with about $250m of debt underwritten by Goldman Sachs, ahead of its planned syndication to other investors.
