From Dealbreaker on the alleged fact that Sallie Krawcheck is campaigning for Ken Lewis‘ old job at Bank of America:
Doubtful! Oh, but not so, says the the Post, claiming that not only does SK want the job, but that she “went public with her ambitions to run the bank” yesterday on CNBC. Those of you who saw the appearance live might be wondering when exactly Krawcheck revealed her plot to take over Bank of America. Were you in the bathroom at the time? Was the TV on mute? Were you momentarily distracted by Caruso and Cabrera?..
Here’s the Clusterstock “take“:
With Ken Lewis stepping down as Bank of America’s CEO, is Sallie Krawcheck trying to take the top spot? Sallie Krawcheck, the head of Bank of America’s massive wealth-management unit, yesterday kicked off what appeared to be a campaign to replace embattled outgoing BofA CEO Ken Lewis.

And here’s the Bubblevision interview. Skip to about 9 minutes in if you want to skirt this guy and get straight to the GasBag interview.
The actual “Yes or No” question — Do you want Ken Lewis’s job? – is pitched at about the 15 minute mark. Concentrate, or you’ll miss it.
But what is it about women and senior positions in finance? More to the point, why does the financial media tend to lose a zero in the IQ stakes when a woman is involved?
While you ponder that, here’s our Krawcheck gallery:
