The battle for Kradbury is hotting up.
Over the weekend, the confectioner’s chairman Roger Carr said the prospect of being absorbed by a “low growth, conglomerate business” was an “unappealing” and “unattractive prospect.”
And now this has arrived on the FT Alphaville desk…

The contents:

There was also a bar of Dairy Milk, Turkish Delight earlier, but someone seems to have taken that.
The package came with a little note:
To keep your energy levels up… and remind you why we are the nation’s favourite brand.
Slightly sickly – and of course the idea that FT Alphaville might be swayed by the arrival of a big bag of sweets around deadline time is clearly fanciful.
Sadly, nothing from the Kraft camp as yet. What this takeover battle lacks is a big sack of Oreo’s (double stuffed please), some Toblerone (Original) and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
