French banks will offer this week to reinforce rules ­governing the payment and disclosure of bonuses in meetings with Nicolas Sarkozy, president, and Christine Lagarde, finance minister. The concessions, adding detail to a code on pay agreed by French banks in February, will be used to bolster France’s position at the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh next month.
