Australia’s Macquarie Group is in talks about a takeover of Fox-Pitt Kelton, a small UK-based financial services firm partly owned by private equity firm JC Flowers, reports DealJournal. While no deal has been finalised, Fox-Pitt could fetch a price in the $150m range – more than double what Chris Flowers paid for it in 2006, said people close to the talks. On Wednesday Macquarie agreed to acquire Delaware Investments from US insurer Lincoln National for $428m.
