Overnight markets: Down

Asian stocks fell on Wednesday for the first time in three days, as commodity prices declined and a weaker dollar reduced Japanese automakers’ overseas earnings prospects. Futures on the S&P500 Index added 0.2% after the gauge slid 1.3% on Tuesday, led down by financial institutions.
