This morning:NEW YORK/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – New York state’s criminal probe of kickbacks paid by companies eager to manage its $122 billion state pension fund has exposed “a national network of actors” whose schemes are ongoing, state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said on Thursday.
“This is all across the nation, and it’s continuing today,” the Democratic attorney general said on a conference call.

(Reuters) New York will open a new phase of its pension-fund corruption investigation by probing the role of unregistered agents, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said.
The state will issue more than 100 subpoenas, the attorney general said today at a press conference. It’s the latest step in a broadening investigation into allegations of kickbacks to officials in return for pension-fund business.
