Good morning. The FTSE 100 fell 3.5 per cent during early trade on Monday.

But Fret not. Back in October we saw an intraday low of 3665 – and that’s another 30 points away.

And back in March 2003 the Footsie index plumbed 3287 when the forced selling squall  hit the insurers. Other than that we’re talking about an index level last seen in the spring of 1996.
