Ignis Asset Management, the new name for an established asset management business that builds on the success and investment capabilities of Resolution Asset Management and Axial Investment Management, launches today.

Named after the Latin for fire, burn or spark, Ignis Asset Management, which manages approximately £70 billion of assets on behalf of UK and overseas investors, will draw on the complementary skills of multi-boutique investment company RAM and asset liability and alternatives specialist Axial to create a leading UK asset management business.

The new Ignis brand incorporates five parts, many carried over from the old RAM stable: Hexam, Maia, Cartesian, Argonaut and Ignis itself.
