Yesterday’s S&P500 rollercoaster, reaching a low of 818.69 before rising to 911.29, courtesy of Bank of America. That represents the biggest percentage intraday range since October of 1987. Credit tightened in the process.

Meanwhile, in London on Friday, the FTSE 100 opened 3.6 per cent higher at 4332.
