Last chance for a Bear bear

You are out of a job. And while Jamie is trying, the employment outlook is not good. But before you exit the building, you can still load up on branded goods to remind you of happier times - at a price.

Dealbreaker has the Bear Stearns memo.

So all the logoed garbage being freely handed out a year ago is now up for sale. We’re surprised they didn’t cut out the Ebay middle man and just auction the lot.

Every penny counts in this environment, after all. The JPMorgan clear-up operation isn’t proving as cheap and cheerful as originally intended.

Will there be a similar firesale of Bear assets at One Canada Square for those beleguered employees who remain? We’ll let you know.

My mate still at Bear is the proud owner of a Bear Stearns golfing umbrella. The best piece of memorabilia I have is a tape from my induction at Arthur Andersen back in 2001. Title is ‘Arthur Andersen on Ethics’. No Enron stuff sadly.
