FT Alphaville is told, by pristine sources, that shares in Northern Rock, the anti-bank, “will be substantially lower on Monday.”

On Thursday the BBC’s Robert Peston reported that there would be no new bidders for the Rock – it was a two horse race between Olivant and Virgin.
And now it’s looking that Virgin will be the only one.
