Click or Clunk? FT Alphaville’s new game starts tomorrow

Imagine Big Brother-meets-the financial punditry. We think this might be fun.

FT Alphaville is going to harness the democratising power of the Internet and give you the reader the chance to vote for your favourite City talking head. The game starts on Tuesday.

Tune in each morning around 8.30am to see a highlight cribbed from the daily dose of wisdom on offer from the columns of Messrs Pratley at the Guardian, Harding at the Times, Hilton at the Evening Standard (if he can be located on the interweb), Brummer from the Daily Mail, Reece at the Telegraph, Warner at the Indy.

Alongside their nugget of business insight will be a link to their column online. If you like what you see, and want to read more, click on through.

We will tally up the clicks, or your votes, and each week one of our housemates will be thrown out of the competition.

Yes, these undoubted media heavyweights will be at the mercy of our editors in selecting their most compelling thought each day – but FT commentators will be excluded so that we can be truly impartial.

And no, we will not be encouraging participants to parade around naked or cop off with each other in order to secure the fickle affections of their public.

First eviction day is Monday October 22nd. Who will be the first to go? Don’t let your favourite fall victim.
