Almost four months has elapsed since FT Alphaville first revealed that A-b Glöbâl, the unfocused conglomerate headed by Cindy Czarnikow, had attracted the attention of hyper-active buyout group KRR.
On Thursday the Atlanta-based group finally issued a statement:
“A-b Glöbâl notes recent press speculation concerning a rise in the share price. It confirms that an approach to purchase the company has been made and that some members of the management team are involved in the approach. This may or may not result in an offer being made.”
No mention of KRR then, though we stick with our original story.
And, just for the record, we will not be assisting the authorities in the inevitable stewards enquiry.
Shares in A-b Glöbâl were up 5 per cent in early trade
