Deutsche Bank raids Citi’s talent – again

Deutsche Bank has poached 18 staff from Citigroup’s private bank operations in Singapore, in the second raid on its US rival in less than two months. The 18 include nine product specialists and nine relationship managers. They will rejoin former Citigroup executive Ravi Raju, who signed up with Deutsche in February to head the bank’s regional wealth-management business. Like Mr Raju, most of the bankers will be based in Singapore. Deutsche’s action to gather Mr Raju’s former colleagues is a phase of an intense war for private banking talent in Asia.
