Hot on the heels of yesterday’s post here about the bargains to be had by British and European consumers ready to cash in on the dollar’s weakness comes a seasonal must-have: the hedge fund shoe.

The shoe, by Kenneth Cole — full title, The New York Hedge Fund — is available through Amazon for $159.95. It is described as a classic split toe loafer. Worryingly, the shoes have rubber soles.
It’s even reviewed by one Connecticut Cowboy “mgnyc,” who waxes lyrically about slipping his feet “into these laceless beauts.”
“Instantly I could feel the change, the power coursing through my body. My chin rose confidently, and my chest puffed out. “Wow,” I thought. “These shoes have some power!
“After liquidating the CDs and index funds from my online brokerage account, I decisively executed a few short sales and got long the gas futures curve. How could I go wrong? Man was I feelin’ it.”
