Dead catski bounce?

Micex edition:

Depends on how confident you are that the market and economists can predict Putin’s next move, we suppose. From the FT:

Russia said it had ordered troops “involved in military exercises” to return to their bases on Tuesday morning following a day of international pressure over its creeping invasion of Crimea.

Markets rallied on reports of the pullback, with Russian equities rebounding 2.5 per cent after the previous day’s collapse and the rouble was up 0.5 per cent, although no immediate confirmation was available that Russian forces had indeed retreated.

However the order did not cover forces deployed in Ukraine.
