Apollo plans NYSE listing

Apollo Management, the US buy-out firm headed by former Drexel Burnham Lambert executive Leon Black, plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange in coming weeks. Apollo, which has $38.3bn in assets under management, would be the second buy-out firm to list in New York, after Blackstone’s IPO in 2007. Apollo, which aims to take advantage of the rally in financial markets, could file its registration statement as early as this week with the NYSE.
